Canon Mulet’s Mausoleum at the Seu de Manresa church.
On December 2013 this amazing mausoleum baroque piece by the sculptor Josep Sunyer (1719) was shattered after being exposed to fire. For more than 6 months two restoration specialists undertook an involved and complex process of restoring the piece at the CRBMC (a division from the Catalan goverment specialised on heritage recovery). Today it is back on display at the Seu de Manresa church. In order to properly document the whole process and given the complexity of the sculpture chunks, digital photogrammetry was performed to create an extremely accurate 3D model of each fragment in different specific formats (such as PDF 3D). Finally, a visual representation of the whole model has been created, detailing the entire process of putting all the chunks back together. This video is about photogrammetry process and final visualitzation tools.
