More model informationThis cist slab is from Badden, Argyll, Scotland. The slab is carved with diamond shapes and has channels at each end which held the sides of a cist. The channels do not respect the carvings.
The carved decorations on the slab are Middle to Late Neolithic, circa 3300 - 2700 BCE.
The slab’s reuse as a burial cist is Early Bronze Age, circa 2100 - 1500 BCE.
A groove has been roughly gouged out of the carved area, probably by a plough.
The overall size is 54 x 153 x 10cm
