McUsd - 9/20/2022 uncorrected normal map flip3D Model
Uncorrected McUsd USD test surfaces file as interpreted by Sketchfab on 9/20/2022. See https://github.com/erich666/McUsd for more information.
This shows the McUsd model as uploaded without my manual corrections of Y flipping the normal maps. Sketchfab does not currently look at the bias and scale values, so does not distinguish OpenGL-style vs. DirectX-style normal maps. This results in some blocks looking like they are lit from below. In particular, look at the “prismarine” teal-colored block in the lower middle, next to the sunflower, and note how its bumps don’t look like they’re bulging out (or look like they’re lit from below - it’s an optical illusion when wrong like this).
See https://skfb.ly/oyps9 for the version with the normal maps Y flipped, for comparison.
