Great job with this in picking up the finer details.

From a Geological/Paleo Biological stand point it looks very similar to a burrow cast. Seen in many different scales from worm burrow to rodent burrows that were filled by sediments.
This looks a lot like a cave formation called a Helictite. They grow in random branching directions.
@semeion Appreciate the feedback and you assembling this model. It's certainly an interesting ' mineral concretion' and surely get a lot of interest
@paulhammond5155 I mixed up the images during my scaling considerations which completely changes the picture. Its probably a lot closer to 4x5cm, but there are too many variables involved to say for sure at this point.

Not very much to start with so take those estimates with a grain of salt. Might very well be off by a factor of two.
