Dr Zhivago fanart: Varykino estate including the mansion & the cottage.
One of my dad’s favorite movies, he told me that his grandfather, who never saw again his native Urals after 1916 (& was a doctor too), was moved when they saw this 1965 movie together, although he knew very well that it was not shot there (actually this scene was shot in Candilichera, Spain). Design based on screenshots mostly from the summer/autumn/spring sequences of the movie — the shapes of the buildings are more difficult to distinguish on the winter views.
