Statuette from Stratzing (NHMW-Prae 93.378)3D Model
3D scan of the female statuette from Galgenberg near Stratzing/Krems-Rehberg (Lower Austria), also known as “Fanny of Galgenberg” or “Venus of Galgenberg”. Fanny was dated back to the old Stone Age ca. 36,000 years ago. The statuette is made out of amphibolite shist and is only 7.2 centimetres high.
Fanny of Galgenberg is Number 35 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in the Venus Cabinet next to the Venus of Willendorf, attached to Hall 11 of the NHM Vienna.
