All that remains of the kennels believed demolished in the 1970s. No photographs or other records are currently known other than an ink and wash drawing on cartridge paper, inscribed on the reverse ‘Elevations of Pidgeon House and Dog Kennel, Belton/May 1819’. The image shows some of the construction building material of these kennels located at the north west corner of Old Wood. This is well away from the Mansion, distance and wind direction-wise, so the occupants wouldn’t hear the barking!
