A fire-reddened cobble artifact from the Garden Creek archaeological site. Cobbles, such as this one, were excavated from postholes (indications of structures) at Mound No. 2 of the site by the GCAP in 2012. Many of the cobbles that were excavated from postholes, such as this one, included evidence of being burned at some point, prior to being buried. This artifact, along with others excavated from the site, can be accessed through the Garden Creek Virtual Exhibit.
