The fossilised print of a large Jurassic therapod, likely a Megalosaurus. This magnificent example was found at an undisclosed location on the foreshore of North Yorkshire after cliff erosion in the winter of 2020/21. I was notified about the site and rushed down to make a model: the material is extremely friable and it will likely not last much longer. Another model with scales etc and no post-processing will also be published, and made available to naturalists and palaeontologists. The print is about 80cm in length. If you look closely the texture of the dinosaur’s skin can even be seen.

This model made from 103 images taken on a Huawei 40MP Leica lense with polarising filter. I had limited time due to tides etc, so photos were shot in bright sunlight and Metashape De-lighter was unable to remove much of the shadow, but it works to highlight the scale of the footprint.
