Museum My Mother and I 3D Models
Museum 'My Mother and I' is a collection of artworks created during immersive art workshops that explored the intersection between two media, clay and augmented reality.
The real clay sculptures in the collection were inspired by childhood memories. Participants were inspired by tactile, visual and spatial exercises to create clay sculptures of their memory fragments. The process of glazing and firing turned the memories into real-world artefacts. 3D models enabled users of the Museum to experience the childhood of 'The Other' by uploading them into AR/VR applications. Everyone is welcome to download 3D Models and use them in a creative way. Please acknowledge the artist who embedded their memories into clay. The imperfectness (gaps) in 3D models represent the illusory qualities of our memories. The artist's name is added to the artwork.
This project, a fusion of traditional and new technology art forms was made possible by an Art Council England Grant.
