More model informationThis iron key was found at the Roman town of Calleva, near Silchester, during excavations by the Society of Antiquaries in the late nineteenth century. It is a Roman L-shaped tumbler lock key. A tumbler lock has tumblers which are moved clear of the bolt by the key.
