Furnace Fragment3D Model
This model depicts a furnace fragment excavated from Khirbat en Nahas in the Faynan region of modern Jordan. Complete furnaces are very rare in the archaeological record as they were often destroyed after use to extract the produced copper and are constructed from clay. As such, the primary archaeological remains from furnaces are fragments like this one. This particular fragment has a uniquely human component as you can see finger imprints from when it was constructed (see annotation).
