Part of the Minerva Fountain on the Stubenring in the Inner City of Vienna. The wall fountain has a shell-shaped water basin made of white karst marble, which is filled by a gargoyle designed as a head mask. Above the stone wall covering of the Minerva Fountain is a glass mosaic image of the goddess Minerva with a staff and owl. The Minerva Fountain was created for the Art Hall of the Vienna World’s Fair in 1873.
