@allbowtross hi there, the refraction is using a fairly high index (relatively speaking) on sketchfab this would translate to 1.2 im not sure what scale that is in relation to other 3d tools though. I have the roughness on the refraction maxed out which is essentially diffusing the stuff happening inside. inside is just a ball rotating with a simple gradient (orange to pink) which is set with a high emission value.
lighting wise, well its mostly the 3 sketchfab dynamic lights which i have set all to directional, and each with a different hue and each at a different angle. there is a tiny touch of hdri at play but its not that significant in this case.
ontop of all that there is various post processing settings. I hope that helps, i can take screenshots of all the settings if you wish
Hi, I was wondering if you adjusted the settings outside of the gltf files to look like the video? I'm practicing programming with 3d models and I'm having a hard time figuring out the lighting and refractive settings @Tycho_Magnetic_Anomaly
@fortymcninerface howdy, to be honest i am still on the fence when it comes to nft, perhaps that might change this year i dunno, but thanks for the offer, i might hit you up at at later date for some advice!
@fortymcninerface howdy, glad you like my things, and yes i understand it might be a bit frustrating for people downloading my things to realize its not what it looks like on sketchfab. I guess most of my things are sort of experiments/showcases of sketchfab itself. But I really want to start to explore the possibility of earning some money trough my art, and I think this is an issue I will address soon. I suppose it means a drastically different way of doing things for me so people download a better representation of what they see on sketchfab, but I will see where it all goes!
Your work is amazing! I was hoping to put some on my metaverse planet, but unfortunately they don't look the same when converted to glb. So many beautiful animations though.
@Hilex23 Hi Hilex, the vast majority of my things on sketchfab are demonstrations of sketchfab itself, I do all my material work on sketchfab itself, however everything I do on sketchfab you can replicate in blender and more.
In this instance I suppose the key texture map I used is this:

@Tycho_Magnetic_Anomaly I would love to have screenshots of the settings if you don't mind! I appreciate the help :)

@Tycho_Magnetic_Anomaly If you'd like to explore selling your art on Solana as NFTs, I can help

thanks again for your kind words :)

In this instance I suppose the key texture map I used is this:
cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/780450175...
which i used for the main roughness map, the clear coat roughness map, and the normal map
All the rest is done with refractive settings, and simple coloring
The inside ball contains this simple gradient
cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/780450175...
which i am using on its emission map/channel
hope that helps
When I open the .blend file there are no textures. How do I implement them
@ardin1 thankyou ardin and eno
comprendre comment cela fonction tros génial
That is Geodesic Sphere.
