More model informationThis is a model of part of Roughan Hill, centered on our fieldschool’s (www.prehistoricfieldschool.ie) 2016 excavation. Roughan Hill is in the Burren, Co. Clare, Ireland, and has the densest concentration of wedge tombs in the country.
The excavation (16E0129) was focused on a wedge tomb (CL016-061002) in Parknabinnia townland. There are several other more detailed models embedded in this one and we will be adding more as we progress.
The photographs were taken from a UAV by Dr Paul Naessans (http://www.westernaerialsurvey.ie/) and the model was processed in Agisoft photoscan.
The site reports for our excavations are uploaded to our field director’s academia page https://nuigalway.academia.edu/RosOMaolduin.
