More model informationRooftop Quarry is a water-filled quarry south of Bloomington, Indiana made famous by the 1979 move Breaking Away as the location where characters leap from rocks into the bright water.
Southern Indiana is dotted with limestone quarries, and the area around Rooftop Quarry is littered with cut limestone block. Before the construction of Lake Monroe, quarries were one of the few places to swim in the area, and “quarry-jumping” became a local summer passtime, despite its danger.
