I was hoping to use3 this Tie Phantom mode in an animation challenge. I wanted to make sure this was ok, I also left a comment on your ISD model, for the same request.
Always fun to come across this ship in my travels around the internet! I'm the original designer of the ship, which I did almost 30 years ago! You got the details pretty close to my original, which is always nice when someone pays attention to details!
Love this Model. Would be cool to explore more Tie Fighter Concept Projects in current Cannon. This being one of them. Be cool to see some hanger housing a ton of different Tie Models.
@DanielAndersson Thanks! I did hardly anything - just made the intakes shallower so the intake fins would be more supported, dropped the cockpit glass in a bit more to make the frame more pronounced and filled in the three pipes around the cockpit. At 1/270 for playing X-Wing stuff gets so small that even resin printers struggle with some details. It never crossed my mind to check on here for stuff to print until a week ago. Your stuff is perfect!
@spacemunkie Hi! Thank you Yes, it's perfectly fine that you put it there! I have no experience with priting models, so I'm curious what it was you had to tweek. That way I could think about that for any future models.
Hello! This is an awesome model. I tweaked a couple of bits and printed it with my LD002R. It came out brilliantly at 1/270 (45mm length). I stuck it up on Thingiverse as it is missing a good Phantom with credit and a link back here. Hope that's ok! thingiverse.com/thing:4294743

Hi there. I'm used your 3d model in this video youtu.be/G2NLYQCbhfg
@anditesh8888 Yeah, the TIE Phantom is a cool design. There's a lot of different variants of TIE's, some more weird than others.

@spacemunkie That's interesting. Glad you found a use for it :)
