NE Structure
Section 5/20: The North East Structure of the Western High Gate of Medinet Habu.
The northeast mud-brick structure pictured in this section of the model would have originally mirrored its sister structure on the south side (Section 3) in that it similarly would have comprised multiple stories, connected with the gate’s central tower, and continued along the north side of the passage. It likely extended west at least as far as the enclosure wall (including the areas represented in Section 7, and perhaps also Section 15). Unfortunately, this structure seems to have lost too much of its upper portion to allow a glimpse into its floor plan.
