This model accompanies an article published in the open-access journal PLOS ONE on 26 April 2016 (http://bit.ly/1SqlQ8B), describing the skull and neck of the basal titanosaurian sauropod Sarmientosaurus musacchioi (MDT-PV 2) from the Upper Cretaceous Bajo Barreal Formation of Patagonia, Argentina. The article authors are Rubén Martínez, Matthew Lamanna, Fernando Novas, Ryan Ridgely, Gabriel Casal, Javier Martínez, Javier Vita, and Lawrence Witmer. 3D modeling was done by Ridgely, annotations by Witmer.
