Cupa funeraria de Chrésima (siglo II d. C.)3D Model
Monumental sepulcro de incineración del tipo de medio tonel (cupa) de una mujer llamada Chresima, conservado in situ en la supuesta área cementerial de Los Bañales. Es una de las cupae más grandes de la Hispania romana. Publicada por Fidel Fita (1835-1918) a comienzos del siglo XX y recogida también por Emile Hübner (1834-1901) en el Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum fue dada por perdida hasta que fue redescubierta por el equipo de Los Bañales en los inicios del proyecto. Se dataría a finales del siglo II d. C.
Monumental barrel-shaped funerary ash holder (cupa) of a woman named Chresima, preserved in situ in the alleged cemetery of Los Bañales. It is one of the biggest cupae attested from Roman Spain. Published at the beginning of the 20th century and consigned in the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum, it was deemed lost until its rediscovery by the team of Los Bañales at the beginning of the current project. It can be dated to the end of the 2nd century AD.
