Monumento sepulcral de San Jorge (ss. I-II d.C.)3D Model
Base with moulding and back panel of a large funerary monument. It was probably topped with puluini and it is likely to have read a dedication, today lost, in the inner side. Datable to the early imperial period, it is the best known example of this kind of funerary monument, well attested in the region of the Cinco Villas. It was found in the 1980s and can be seen, in situ, at the eastern edge of the town of Biota, near Farasdués. It might have contained cremated ashes from a nearby uilla or uicus.
