More model informationDuring the Last Glacial Maximum (about 20 000 years ago) in the Tatra Mts. more than 50 glaciers occurred. They covered in total 280 km2 and tied about 24.5 km3 of ice. The largest glacier - over 13 km long and 400 m thick - occupied Białka Valley on the northern slope of the High Tatra Mts.
The 3D scene was prepared by the ‘Azymut’ Students’ Science Club, AGH UST, Kraków, Poland.
The model of glaciated Tatra Mts. is based on elaboration published in Journal of Maps by Zasadni & Kłapyta (2014).
