@wwench - the production is a bit of a collaborative effort: Zoosphere (http://www.zoosphere.net) use a process called "focus stacking" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_stacking) to get full focus macro shots of specimens from around 100 different angles. I use photoshop to make masks that block out the background from the subject (white=subject, black=background) and then run them through PhotoScan, tweaking settings until I get proper alignment / a decent looking mesh. Then it's into Sketchfab for some visual FX :)
