More model informationBetween 1978 and 1984 archaeologists from what was to become the Landscape Research Centre excavated several Hectares of archaeology ahead of sand extraction at Cook’s Quarry,West Heslerton, camping on site during long summer escavations. Each year a large refuse pit was cut and backfilled at the end of the season often with debris from the many excavators. Before the quarry removes the former camp site, new excavations continue to document this site’s particularly important prehistoric past. In this case recovering a pair of Dr. Martens that must be nearly 30 years old! Re-photographed and modelled but still in very difficult lighting conditions.
