Sitting Cheetah (Zittend Jachtluipaard) by Albéric Collin.
This beautiful, poised statue was made by Antwerp-based artist Albéric Collin, a sculptor celebrated for his portrayals of wild animals. Finished sometime before 1929, the bronze statue was donated and put on display in the Zoo of Antwerp in 1953 (for those who want to go have a look: it’s located just in front of “Grand Café Flamingo” near the exit of the Zoo)!
Personal project, just to showcase one of my favourite statues :) The model did in fact have a colour texture, but I kind of like the simple white geometry and AO / cavity maps of the current render. I’d suggest having a look at MatCap + Surface to see the fine geometric detail (for some reason the normal map isn’t coming out very pronounced in the Final Render - any ideas?)
Photogrammetry scan, pictures taken with Nikon D5300 and AF-S NIKKOR 35mm 1:1.8G lens, photos enhanced in Lightroom, processed in Reality Capture, model cleaned and decimated in ZBrush, platform closed in Rhino.
