Where can I find the STL files?
The advertised 1:50 scale model for printing (STL) seems to be missing, is there any chance you can upload it, I would love to print one for my office :D @NHM_Imaging
Excellent model. Definitely one of my favorites. Is there any chance that we could get more 3D models to print?
this is my point of view, thank you youtu.be/dSfJxamcLo4
Why is the model not downloadable for me please? "unauthorized" message appears :(
Gracias, la página que indicas es una maravilla (y el modelo ha quedado muy bien).
@NHM_Imaging thank you! The descriptions says there is a 1:50 scale STL available, that is what I was referencing. Thank you for your help though!
@heyvian Hi there, I'll sort this out and upload an obj file, but it won;t be for a while. In the meantime, if you go to the download section and download the Blender file, you can open it in Blender and the export as an obj. I've done this and the file opens in Meshmixer and looks good. We've found that this file needs to be sliced into pieces to be printed, so print the skull and fins seperately and split the body/spine in the middle (front and rear) and it should print OK.
Hello, it says there's a 3D printable model available but has that been removed?
thank you very beautiful.
thanks, beautiful
This is my first time to contact you.
We're impressed with your 3d model of skeleton specimens!
my name is Yumi, the coloring manager of AMPHI LLC.
Our company mainly manufacture exhibition models of living things in Japan.
I would appreciate it if you would approve us to use your 3D models for commercial purpose.
The 3D printers are not yet widespread only few people can handle them in Japan. Therefore, not many people can create and handle 3D datas. Without deburring and coloring techniques, Those who want it
wouldn't be able to get a realistic replica. We sell them at the most affordable price and are pleased by many customers. We have confidence that more people will be pleased with the wonderful 3d models in the museum collection.
How wonderful it would be if my house became a small museum and enjoy it.
We would like to deliver it to those who absolutely want it, and we want them to make effective use of it.
We would appreciate it if you could consider the commercial use of 3D datas.
Sincerely,
AMPHI LLC

P.S.
We have contributed to the local community by utilizing the 3D datas.
By donating the full-scale tyrannosaurus skull replica from the Smithsonian Museum to the local cultural center, and holding free exhibitions at the public library, we will create opportunities for many people, including local children, to feel closer to museums around the world. There are a wide variety of educational facilities in Tokyo, however it is often difficult for local people to visit frequently, so we hope that our activities will help with education.
Hello, I'm developing an indie game myself and would like to know if it's possible to add the spine of the whale in one of my landscapes as atrezzo. Would that be possible? Thanks
Fascinating history of this species and this model.
Congratulations on reaching 1000 followers - it's great to see more people discovering your work!

Perhaps you could do something fun for them, like creating a milestone model
