Here’s my entry for the InteriorScanChallenge Created with Reality Capture from 988 Photos. Scanned just the upper south part of an old Attic, the whole thing would take much more work, especialy with the low lightning.
You need a beefy CPU & GPU for a smooth experience, if you have Problems here is a Lowres Mobile Version: https://skfb.ly/6tvpG
This old Attic is also availible on SteamVR

@remozseo hello,
here is a 500K version: skfb.ly/6HGLQ
I dont have it lower, i would neet to restart everything, maybe i will do it ;)
ohhh... do you know if it would be possible to lower the triangles and keeping the texture map high resolution? I was thinking running a test for VR... but need max 100k triangles.
This is Amazing! Fantastic Work. love it!
Thank you!
Great scan. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Nedo, nice scan! (I actually like it, it's not a template message lol).
I was hoping you could spare 5 minutes to answer my survey about the photogrammetric process.
It's for my thesis that I'm writing regarding photogrammetry and its potential use in the world of commercial service video production.

Thanks in advance!
Great work! Thanks!
Simply amazing... thank's for sharing
@nedo I'm using the normal workflow: import photos, align them, build dense cloud (high), build mesh (high) and then build texture. Building the dense cloud is the most time consuming task.
Until a few months ago, when I made the tests I was not aware that the calculations were also done by the GPU. The PC where I was using photoscan is an i7 2600k with a very poor graphics card (nvidia Quadro 2000D). Now I have a new card, the Gtx1060. Time to make new tests I guess.
@filipeg must be some wrong setup with your photoscan. Photoscan is slower then RC but for 35 photos it should be quick too. I tested photoscan too and
like it, but you need a little more knowledge how it works, with the wrong setup it can calculate forever...
I run a i7 with a gtx1080.
@nedo Wow. That time is unbelievable! May I ask what are your computer specs? Scans I've made with Photoscan (about 35 photos) are taking me around 16 hours to process in High settings...
@filipeg not weeks ;) just a few hours, between 1 and 3 i think, i don't remember exsactly.
I'm curious about how long this this take to process. How fast is Reality Capture? This would take weeks in Photoscan...
Fantastic ! Great work !
@terentiy
at home it runs fine on my i7 4790 / gtx 1080
and at work its really buggin on my Mac Pro. too ;)
Working on a cleaned version, and a mobile low res. ,will update soon.
But an even higher res. version will be availible on SteamVR too.
love it! surprised its buggin on my Mac Pro.
@shadows44
Because of that it was not possible to shot everything on one day, the light was changing. Exposure time up to 30seconds for each Photo, i call this work ;) it was very warm there!
Actually i would love to clean this scene up, remove unnecessary polys,
maybe retopo, but this would take another day work ;p
Nice work, especially considering the low light issue. The sound effects are a good idea. :)
