Very interesting.
many thanks @arck-project - I am lucky to have lived close by such a museum to be able to capture it :)
Amazing capture!
hi @He-Art I exported from RealityCapture as a .xyz point cloud, converted this to .ply using Meshlab then uploaded.
Full tutorial for this workflow here:

hello i have a question, what file format did you use for the" point cloud" to upload it here on sketchfab sir?
@Soclelaiton this point cloud was created using RealityCapture > Meshlab > Sketchfab. Sometimes I use Blender for editing / retopology.
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
I was wondering what other software you use to prepare your finished scans (Zbrush, Blender, ???)
I looked on your web page and some of your links but could not find that info
thanks for comment @Soclelaiton - I primarily use RealityCapture at the moment as I recently acquired a laptop with the necessary graphics card. I find it very quick at prcoessing scans.
I still use PhotoScan however - sometimes it provides better alignment results with certain image sets. It is possible to move projects between the two softwares using the .out format, which is useful.
When I deliver training in photogrammetry to museums and cultural organisations I still recommend PhotoScan as it is cross platform WIN/MAC and, even if it is a bit slower, it runs on most hardware.
There are obvious differences in price too.
Hi Thomas,
I see that your earlier scan were done using Photoscan.
Do you use both Photoscan and Realitycapture or do find Realitycapture better now and don't use Photoscan anymore ?
Great, great scans !!!
@fhernand I don't think so, I used the process I describe in this short tutorial: blog.sketchfab.com/tutorial-upload-point...
Hi Thomas, amazing! I have a question, is it possible to upload the exported .ply from Realitycapture directly?
@hugoandersonwhymark thanks Hugo :) Sometimes I like point clouds more than finished meshes...
Superb! This works so well as a point cloud and I just love exploring the detail
@danderson4 I just published a surface model here: sketchfab.com/models/b2f3e84112d04bf1844...
@james I accept that challenge :)
@hyo 2.4 million verts is not always easy to display in browser but I wanted to keep a certain level of detail in the point cloud.
@alban @chbenj1975 @paul3uk @paulchambers3d @OVERHEAD @KunsthistorischesMuseumWien @calinsuteu thanks everyone!
