More model informationNike was the ancient Greek goddess of victory.
Paionios was a Greek sculptor of the late 5th century BC.
He sculpted the statue of Nike seen here between 425 and 420 BC, after winning the commission to decorate the acroteria of the Temple of Zeus at Olympia, as described in the pedestal inscription on the statue.
The 3D model shown here is a digitization of a small plaster cast that represents a reconstruction of the original statue:

Merci Matthew pour le lien.
@cdg There are a number of these plaster reconstructions of the original in different cast/plaster collections, here is one example: wilcoxcollection.ku.edu/s/wilcox/item/11...
It is amazing, can i download it?
Bravo; pour plus de détails sur ce projet de maquette sculpteur, voir lien

wonderful
@jerryfisher Thanks for the link to the book Jerry! Glad you like the model :)
Thank you for sharing this model. I first heard of the Nike of Paionios when I read a book by Jennie Hall. The book she wrote was called "Buried Cities." I was fascinated by the passages that mentioned the statue and what had happened after it fell, was buried, then recovered. This is the same book that introduced me as a child to the artist Praxiteles.
You can see the book here: archive.org/details/buriedcitiesvolu0962...
Thank you again. It is a delight to finally see the Nike as a dramatic, moving figure instead of being restricted to static photos from only a few angles.
