3D distributions of the abundance ratio of iron and titanium, in log scale, in the remant of a neutrino-driven supernova explosion. The modeled abundance ratio was derived from the hydrodynamic model W15-2-cw-IIb-HD+dec roughly at the age of the SNR Casssiopeia A. Negative values (in red) indicate relatively higher concentrations of Fe, while positive values (in blue) mean higher concentrations of Ti. These distributions are useful to investigate the relative abundances of plasma either exterior or interior to the reverse shock. The results for both shocked (on the left) and unshocked (on the right) ejecta are shown. The transparent yellow surface marks the reverse shock. The ratios are calculated in cells with density of Fe and Ti greater than 5% of the maximum density of the respective species. The Earth vantage point lies on the negative y-axis.
MHD simulation performed with the PLUTO code.
