Carabias medieval church (Sigüenza, Spain)3D Model
The church of El Salvador in the small town of Carabias is one of the jewels of Spanish Romanesque art. Possibly built in the 13th century, its most valuable element is its arcaded gallery that runs along the south and west sides. Its bell tower stands out, located next to the head of the church instead of next to the feet, something very unusual, which forced its builders to introduce an arch at its base to allow access to the arcaded gallery. Inside the church still preserves a large medieval baptismal font carved in stone.
We want to publicly thank the collaboration of the Diocesan Delegation of Cultural Heritage of Guadalajara, especially by its cultural delegate Mr. Miguel Ángel Ortega Canales, for the facilities they have given us and for the interest they have shown in the project at all times.
