Neonate pygmy right whale skeleton, collected in Victoria, Australia in 2019, approximately 185cm long. There are many fascinating aspects to the anatomy in this specimen - features characteristic of very young juveniles, morphology unique to this species or to whales in general, and injuries to the skeleton in this particular individual.

Scanning: CT scanned (Siemens Somatom go.UP medical CT) at Monash Biomedical Imaging, Monash University. Segmented using Mimics (v. 21.0) & meshes re-articulated in Blender 2.82.
