More model informationThe charnel house in Zellerndorf dates from the first half of the 14th century. The octagonal building has a pyramid roof with a stone cross at the end. In 1934/35 about 4000 skulls, leg and arm bones were brought to the Natural History Museum in Vienna. A sensational find was a skull with three eye sockets, which was scientifically investigated worldwide. Today you can take a look through a window into the interior of the bone house.
