More model informationThe Vought F4U Corsair is an American fighter aircraft that saw service primarily in World War II and the Korean War.
The Corsair was designed and operated as a carrier-based aircraft, hence the folding wings to more easily fit inside a carrier. It entered service in large numbers with the U.S. Navy in late 1944 and early 1945, and was also used by the Royal New Zealand Air Force, French Naval Aviation, and other air forces until the 1960s.
Here is my toonish representation of one. I created in Zbrush and Substance painter. If you look inside you can see all the controls are animated. The Folding wings and landing gears were quite a challenge to design, model and rig.

Best Corsair model I've ever seen! Great job!
Are you selling this model by any chance?
@fahycolm Sorry for the late reply, the plane is animated on the spot, and there is a base node that it is parented under that does a 360. Hope it helps, you can see it with sound on my youtube page: youtube.com/watch?v=ZkkX05czz6w&t=2s...
This is nice - i am also interested to know how you uploaded the model so that you can see the animations in 360..?
This is an awesome representation of my favorite WW2 fighter. I'd also like to see a Vought F-8 Crusader (my favorite cold war era fighter) in this same building style!
@Swiss_Fox Thanks! As FBX won't support visibility keys, I scaled down the propeller geometry and scaled up a 2D plane with the blurry propeller texture on it over 1 frame, it worked quite nicely.
Amazing
Nice animation and cute model. I really like what you did with the propeller.
