More model informationAt greater depths, the chemical weathering of the granite has been less intense, because of which the erosive processes have exhumed large nuclei of unaltered, solid rock known as lanchares or bornhardts. Due to their morphology, two types are distinguished: whale backs and granite domes. In both cases, the development of rock basins, flared walls, flutings, caves and tafoni on their surfaces is frequent, as is the existence of pedestal rocks and split rocks.
