This colossal statue of the Nile was found in 1513 in Campo Marzio where it was probably part of the decoration of the Iseo Campense, dedicated to the Egyptian deities Isis and Serapis. The river is shown as a venerable old man stretched out on his side with a cornucopia of fruit in his left arm and ears of wheat in his right hand. Egypt is represented by the presence of a sphinx. The scene is enlivened by sixteen children who allude to the sixteen cubits of water by which the Nile rises for its annual flood. museivaticani.va
This bronze cast was made after a Roman marble statue in the Musei Vaticani, Rome and donated to the city of Copenhagen by the Albertina Foundation.
Photogrammetric 3D reconstruction was done from about 3000 images.

@usayeddnayeem yes, you are free to use it commercially as long as we get credited ;)
@thomas.j.keep Thanks! We are using ZBrush for retopo.
@thomas.j.keep Hey check out Instant Mesh. It's the application I use to clean the geometry of my photoscans. It works great but the only drawback is that you have to re-unwrap the low poly result. I just bake the diffuse map of my photoscanned mesh to the low poly and it works just fine
This makes me feel bad for charging 3 bucks for a photoscan of a rock lol. Amazing work
is this available for commercial use?
This looks amazing, what was the method you used to reduce the poly count so drastically?
