Some basic shape practice. I modeled these in Maya with smooth preview turned on, then converted to polys for export. I used polygonal modeling for all of these pieces. In retrospect, I think I would have been better off using a curve for at least the teapot handle, but I still think it came out alright. The pot is hollowed and has faces in the interior, so it would be able to function as a proper teapot!
I ended up using these pieces as background prop decoration in a kitchen scene animation within Maya.
I used a reference photo of a pottery set designed by Eva Zeisel to construct these models.
Update 4/21: Auto-unwrapped UVs in Blender and added some cc0 texture maps.
