This is a Bathonian (Jurassic) dinosaur tracksite situated in the river Jonte, in the Causses plateaux (southern France). On this platform, about a hundred of tridactyl theropods (carnivorous dinosaurs) have been found.
This site is home of the new ichnospecies Kayentapus ubacensis described in Gand et al., 2018 (DOI: 10.1016/j.annpal.2018.06.002 ), and was first investigated during my Master’s thesis back in 2012 (DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.10246.32323.
This ~35m long outcrop has been reconstructed using with MetaShape 1.5.5 from a set of ~370 cameras with poor overlap (photos were not originally taken for photogrammetry purposes), hence porr margin quality and areas with no significant relief.
Wear your VR HMD and come walk with dinosaurs! :D
