This collection is part of a new research project between the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature (formerly known as the South Florida Museum) and the University of South Florida Libraries (Drs. Lori Collins, Travis Doering, and 3D Lead Developer Jorge González from the USF DHHC, with Matthew D. Woodside, Chief Curator & Director of Exhibitions at Bishop Museum of Science and Nature), to digitize the Montague Tallant collection and other important artifacts and archaeological materials curated at their institution. This 3D archive will ensure wider accessibility, improved engagement and education opportunities, and facilitate conservation and digital preservation of materials in the museum collections.
