Superb! :)
@enchodus Im not sure maybe if you simplified it to 250,000 tri it would work for 3d printing without loosing too much resolution? Im not sure how 3d printing slicers handle high poly models.
OK question, the ichthyosaur (not shark-fish) file size is already too big, yet when transferred to cura for 3d printing the model is an inch long and devoid of any good resolution, how would retapologising to a smaller size help in making the detail better, this sounds like it would make the resolution far worse than it already is, correct me if I'm wrong.
@enchodus the model is not designed for 3D printing and is used for decoration in a game or something like that. Feel free to retopologize to a smaller file size if you wish. This is a photogrammetry model and usually that technique doesn't work well for models to be printed because all of the detail is in the texture.
wanted to make a small 3d model for class but what do you know, the resolution is simply non-existing for 3d printing, actually, the model size on Cura slicer was a little over an inch.... LOL ....what would be the benefit of such an obj besides loosing 60 or 70 megabytes for download ...
This is so cool!
