More model informationThis is a scan of a first generation cast of the Berlin Archaeopteryx specimen. The exact date of discovery is unknown, but it is thought to have been between 1874 and 1877. It is the most complete Archaeopteryx specimen currently known and is the type specimen of Archaepteryx siemensii. This specimen preserves the entire skull and a larfe proportion of the feathers. The original is held at the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin. This is a decimated version of a scan carried out with a Polyga R3x scanner. It is mounted in a box to enable 3d printing.
