So, this is “King of the Road” bicycle lamp. It was manufactured somewhere around 1911 by Jos. Lucas LTD Birmingham, England.
Lamp is powered by acetylene gas, wich is produced from the reaction of water and calcium carbide. Burning acetylene gives a very bright flame, and illuminates the road. Similar lamps were used on cars, but this one should be mounted on the bicycle handlebar.
Hope you like it, and may be i’ll upload animated version later.
