Penycloddiau is the largest hill fort in Wales being 21 ha in area. It lies at 440 m above sea level, and and is one of a string of Iron age monuments lying on the Clwydian range
The aerial survey was conducted in support of the Liverpool University’s Archaeology Field School in partnership with CADW, Denbighshire County Council and Oxford University’s excavations at Bodfari Hillfort.
